Whether you are just starting out or have been riding for ten years, this training will assist you to take your riding to the next level.

RIDE DEVELOPMENT TRAINING

Now that you have completed the fundamentals training it's time to head to the trails.

During this session...

  • Go out on a guided ride

  • Discuss trail components and analysis

  • Put the fundamentals into practice 

  • Climbing and descending techniques

  • Flat corners and berms

  • Technical areas  

  • Record your ride

  • Review and analysis of your ride

  • Repeat and review

  • Fun ride, continue on the trail for a fun filled ride putting your newly obtained skills into practice safely.

PERSONAL SESSIONS

If you are unable to make a scheduled session or would like your own personal session, we can help.

With a personal session you have the opportunity to go through

 a full MTB Xperience or to focus on specific aspects such as...

  • Learning how to ride a mountain bike

  • Basic trail side maintenance, how to repair your bike if you have a breakdown on the trail

  • Fundamentals, only complete the fundamentals training without the guided ride and ride development 

  • Ride development, only take part in ride development. We go out onto the trails and work on those area's you not yet comfortable with.  

  • Guided rides, whether you have previously completed all the training or not and just want to ride. We will ride with you!

  • Fitness, off the bike training. We work on strength conditioning by incorporating functional training into your current riding plan

WHAT TO EXPECT

Set aside 3 hours of your day for a full MTB Xperience.

We start off the day by meeting at an agreed location. We have a quick meet and greet, get to know a bit about each other and our fellow riders.
We will begin with bike set up and safety, after which we will move on to fundamentals training conducted on a grassy surface with a cone layout. Upon completion of the fundamentals we will move to the bike park trails where you will be guided to a selected location. This is where we will discuss and analyse the trail, perform our ride development and put the fundamentals into practice.
It's important to understand that everything is at your comfort level, you are not required to do anything that you are not comfortable with.
During ride development we will take a few photos and videos to review and analyse, from here we will identify areas of development.
Time for a break, we will have a short break before heading out for a safe, fun ride. The ride is dependent on you, it can be anywhere from 5km to 30km leading us back to the car park where we will wrap things up and head home.
